First Trip to China — Day 02 — First Steps in Beijing

The country with Aventure de Vie

Choose a region to discover it in depth

China is too vast to be explored in a single trip. Beijing and Xi’an provide access to a major imperial history. Sichuan and Yunnan open onto mountains, villages, ancient tea routes, and very different local cultures. At the same time, large cities showcase contemporary China.

Aventure de Vie prefers to build a coherent itinerary around a few regions rather than cram in too many stops. Traveling by train, road, and on foot then connects the main sites with simpler moments in markets, workshops, and the countryside.

Climate
Highly variable: continental, subtropical, and mountain climates

When to go

Best times to visit

Spring and autumn are suitable for many regions, but conditions vary widely. The North has cold winters and hot summers, while the South is more humid. In the mountains, high altitude shortens the accessible season.

Before you go

Good to know

Distances are significant: a regional itinerary avoids consecutive long transfers. High-speed trains, domestic flights, and road travel can be combined. In rural or mountain areas, comfort and connectivity may be simpler.
