The country with Aventure de Vie

Laos, between the Mekong and the mountains

Laos is a country of rivers, hills, and human-scale towns. Luang Prabang brings together temples, markets, and old houses, while the Nam Ou leads to the northern villages and their karst landscapes.

Aventure de Vie focuses on stops accessible by boat or on foot, meeting artisans, and spending time in villages. Comfort can be simple, but the pace allows a deeper understanding of local life.

From November to February, temperatures are milder and rain is rare. March and April are generally hotter. From May to October, the rainy season makes the landscapes lush green; showers can affect some roads or boat trips.

Before you go

Good to know

Distances may look short on the map, but mountain roads take time. Boats and trains complete road trips. In the villages, comfort may be simple; modest clothing is recommended for temples.
